The Neuroscience Graduate Program (NGP) is an innovative, interdisciplinary initiative dedicated to modern neuroscience principles and methodologies, preparing students for Ph.D. or M.S. degrees in Neuroscience. As part of the Molecular and Biomedical Sciences Umbrella, it collaborates with five other programs.
NGP's goal is to inspire, teach, and guide students toward becoming self-sufficient neuroscientists skilled in progressing both basic and applied research on brain function and neurological disorders. With faculty drawn from diverse Colleges and Departments, students benefit from a rich, cooperative setting that provides training across multiple viewpoints, techniques, and model systems. Key research focuses encompass: neurochemistry, neuropharmacology and drug development, cellular neurobiology, physiology and biophysics, genetics, behavioral neuroscience, computational neuroscience, and disease-related neurobiology.
