The Jazz Studies Certificate provides instrumentalists with foundational skills the chance to enhance their expertise in jazz performance, theory, and improvisation. As a UM music student, you'll learn from world-renowned faculty while combining your music degree with specialized certificates in entertainment management, nonprofit leadership, and numerous major/minor combinations to customize your academic journey. You'll gain performance experience through ensembles like Symphonic Winds, All-Star Band, Choir and Orchestra, Grizzly Marching Band, plus events including the Buddy DeFranco Jazz Festival, Vienna Program, and UM Summer Music Camps.

Qualification Requirements
To be considered for undergraduate admission to University of Montana, all international applicants must demonstrate English proficiency by submitting a score on an approved test or by qualifying for an exemption.
