The Psychology doctoral (Ph.D.) program specializing in Behavioral Neuroscience (BN) combines coursework on behavior's biological foundations with hands-on scientific training. Students engage in an apprenticeship model, collaborating extensively with faculty on research projects aligned with the faculty member's expertise, culminating in both a thesis and dissertation based on empirical research. After two years, candidates must successfully pass comprehensive written and oral examinations to progress. Additionally, students must prepare a specialized paper suitable for publication.
