The Bachelor of Educational Studies (BES), specializing in Youth and Adult Development, equips professionals to support agencies and organizations in achieving their educational objectives. Graduates gain practical skills and knowledge for careers as creative educators, program coordinators, activity leaders, instructional designers, and training specialists in non-traditional learning environments. Note: This program does not qualify graduates for Missouri teaching certification.
The curriculum incorporates contemporary methodologies for effectively instructing youth and adults in alternative learning environments, covering educational theory, non-formal curriculum design, developmental psychology, cultural competency, community engagement, and family collaboration.

Numerous nonprofit entities, government agencies, and NGOs operating beyond conventional school systems require personnel capable of providing training and education. Career prospects are available with organizations serving after-school initiatives, youth development programs, specialized population services, and nonprofits offering support services and crisis intervention.
