This degree program focuses on advancing performance abilities and comprehensive musicianship to equip graduates for professional performance careers, teaching roles, or doctoral-level studies.
Students gain performance experience through various ensembles including large groups, the Marching Mizzou Drumline, jazz bands, and three distinct percussion ensembles (University Percussion Ensemble, World Percussion Ensemble, and Graduate Percussion Ensemble). The university boasts an extensive collection of global percussion instruments, featuring a complete traditional steel pan orchestra.
