Educators looking to enhance their teaching skills and progress in music education careers across early childhood, elementary, middle, or high school levels can pursue a master's degree in music education.
Learners engage with a dynamic curriculum aligned with their professional goals, guided by faculty at the forefront of innovative pedagogy, research, scholarship, and creative work. The music education faculty holds leadership positions in global, national, and regional organizations focused on enhancing music education from preK through 12th grade. They frequently publish in top-tier research and practitioner publications while maintaining active involvement with music educators through workshops, presentations, and guest teaching engagements.
The Music Education Master's Degree offers three completion options: 1) full-time on-campus study, 2) part-time study while teaching with evening, summer, and online courses, or 3) fully online asynchronous coursework (exclusively for current school music teachers). Competitive graduate assistantships may be available for full-time on-campus students.
