The Department of Veterinary Pathobiology (VPB) was formed through the combination of the Veterinary Pathology and Veterinary Microbiology departments. As a vital part of the College of Veterinary Medicine, VPB serves as a crucial bridge between fundamental and clinical sciences. Our goal is to gather, develop, and share expertise in pathology, parasitology, microbiology, immunology, comparative medicine, genetics, and related fields to improve disease diagnosis, management, and prevention for both animals and humans. We also focus on educating future research scientists. This knowledge is incorporated into our teaching, research, and service initiatives throughout the college and university.
