Industrial engineering is an engineering discipline dedicated to enhancing complex systems and workflows to boost performance, output, quality, and safety across diverse sectors. At Mizzou, students master optimization techniques, human-centered design, data analysis, and system simulation.
Develop skills to analyze and improve interconnected systems involving personnel, technology, and data in domains like manufacturing, service delivery, system architecture, logistics, automation, environmental sustainability, data systems, and product development. The program offers chances to earn Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and/or a cross-disciplinary Global Supply Chain Management credential alongside degree completion. Engage in research projects, work with partners from fields like business administration, and become part of the student branch of the industrial engineering professional association.
