The Bachelor of Science program provides two specialization paths: Interior Design and Architectural Studies. Both concentrations center on crafting environmental designs for human habitats, workplaces, and recreational spaces. The Interior Design track culminates in a CIDA-accredited final bachelor's degree. The Architectural Studies path serves as a preparatory bachelor's degree, with students typically pursuing a professional Master of Architecture elsewhere to become licensed architects. Exceptional undergraduate performance and portfolio quality may lead to scholarship opportunities, graduate assistantships, and potential course waivers in advanced studies.
The College of Arts and Science at the University of Missouri awards the B.S. in Architectural Studies with Interior Design specialization, fulfilling the educational prerequisites for the NCIDQ Examination. Details regarding exam qualifications can be found at: https://www.cidq.org/eligibility-requirements.
