Nuclear medicine technologists utilize radioactive substances to generate molecular and functional images for diagnosing conditions and treating various cancers. They are employed in diverse environments such as hospitals, imaging and research facilities, commercial radiopharmacies, and nuclear research reactors. These procedures aid in disease diagnosis, treatment, and personalizing patient care plans. The NM curriculum consists of two years of prerequisite studies followed by two years of specialized professional training.
