Students pursuing majors have several degree options: a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science with honors, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Arts with honors, or a specialized Bachelor of Science in Mathematics focusing on Actuarial and Financial Mathematics.
The BA program incorporates additional humanities and language requirements, while the BS curriculum emphasizes scientific coursework and offers flexibility - students can either complete language studies or replace them with 12 upper-level credits in an approved alternative subject. BS candidates can also apply more mathematics courses toward their degree.
Both the AB and BS degrees require 120 credit hours and equally prepare students for advanced academic pursuits or professional opportunities.
Mathematics majors can submit their Graduation Plan after completing English 1000 and Math 2300. Applicants must maintain a minimum 2.5 overall GPA and a 2.5 GPA in mathematics courses counting toward the degree. All major-related math courses require at least a C- grade for credit.
