The Master of Science in Science, Technology, and Environmental Policy (MS'STEP) at the Humphrey School stands among a select group of programs nationwide designed to equip students with backgrounds in natural sciences, physical sciences, or engineering to emerge as leaders who bridge scientific knowledge with policy-making to address major global challenges. The MS'STEP program offers a demanding academic framework while leveraging interdisciplinary resources across the University of Minnesota's departments, centers, and schools. Participants can collaborate with STEP faculty on research projects as graduate assistants and take part in academic workshops and conferences. Additionally, MS-STEP students join the biweekly STEP Seminar Series, creating a casual forum for exchanging ideas, receiving feedback, and interacting with experts and professionals in STEP-related disciplines from both academic and non-academic circles.
