The University of Minnesota's Pharmaceutics Graduate Program equips students for careers in pharmaceutical research, focusing on drug product development and evaluation. This includes studying how medications interact with biological systems and optimizing drug formulations for effective delivery.
Ranked among the country's top programs, our curriculum provides comprehensive training in both physical and biological sciences essential for drug development. Students can specialize in areas like pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism, pharmaceutical engineering, polymer drug delivery systems, biophysical chemistry, or molecular biopharmaceutics.
Anyone who has or will obtain a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in the U.S. or a comparable degree from an officially recognized college or university outside the U.S. may apply for graduate admission.
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.20.

Fall admission is highly preferred and the deadline to apply is November 30.
