The Master of Science program in dentistry equips dental professionals with advanced clinical skills for leadership roles in education, research, and oral healthcare administration. Taught by a diverse faculty of dental educators, researchers, and practitioners within the School of Dentistry, the curriculum includes foundational courses in dental education assessment, research methodologies, and healthcare management. Students can pursue specialized studies in key disciplines such as conscious sedation, craniofacial disorders, geriatric dentistry, oral biology, diagnostic sciences (including oral medicine and radiology), oral pathology, practice management, and behavioral aspects of dentistry. The program allows for customized study plans tailored to individual interests, with opportunities to incorporate relevant coursework from other disciplines. Dental residents pursuing advanced clinical training may simultaneously enroll in this graduate program, provided they coordinate their curriculum with both their faculty advisor and the graduate studies director to ensure compliance with university requirements. Participating School of Dentistry programs offering the MS degree pathway include: General Practice Residency, Endodontics, Geriatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, and Orofacial Pain management.
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.00.
DDS/DMD or equivalent from accredited US institution or recognized foreign school. Clinical residency enrollment and 3.0 GPA or rank in top quarter of graduating professional school class preferred.
English Language Proficiency Requirements: TOEFL iBT – 80; TOEFL pBT - 600; IELTS Academic – 6.5; MELAB – 80; Pearson Test of Academic English (PTE Academic) – 59; Cambridge Assessment English (CAE) C1 Advanced – 180.
