At the University of Minnesota, inequality research examines how racial, ethnic, and social boundaries are created, interpreted, and maintained. Scholars in this field investigate systemic discrimination through policy and practice analysis while exploring how these disparities persist across generations. Faculty and students additionally explore how these social divisions can transform into foundations for solidarity, identity formation, and social movements.
