Our sociology department stands out for the diverse array of topics our faculty and graduate students explore, both within the US and across borders. What makes our graduate program special is our expertise in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, combined with our dedication to creating an academically challenging yet nurturing atmosphere. We actively promote varied perspectives and backgrounds. The Sociology Department exclusively provides a PhD program. While we don't accept students solely for a master's degree, PhD candidates can obtain one en route to completing their doctoral studies.
