The School of Kinesiology explores diverse aspects of human movement through comprehensive academic programs. Graduate studies encompass exercise science, movement science, human performance, sports science, and sport management. Research within the school often crosses disciplinary boundaries, collaborating with fields like medicine, neuroscience, and epidemiology while connecting with business, education, and social sciences. Master's students tailor their studies to specialize in areas including: physical activity behavior, biomechanics and neuromotor function, exercise physiology, perceptual-motor development, health-related physical activity, sports psychology, or sport sociology. Doctoral candidates focus their customized programs on similar specializations, with the addition of sport management as an option.

Qualification Requirements

The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.00.

It is preferred that applicants have completed a master's degree in the field of kinesiology or a related field and achieved an overall minimum GPA of 3.50.

Other requirements to be completed before admission:

Applicants must have completed a baccalaureate degree, generally in the following areas: kinesiology; exercise science; sport management; sport psychology/sociology; movement science; or related preparation and significant background and interest in the scientific study of physical activity.
