The Comparative and Molecular Biosciences (CMB) program aims to educate exceptional researchers in understanding fundamental biological processes related to animal and human health and illness. Adopting a One Health perspective, the CMB program studies diverse species such as humans, lab animals, pets, and farm animals. This interdisciplinary initiative combines expertise from basic, applied, and clinical research fields across multiple departments, offering students personalized, state-of-the-art biomedical education. Key research focuses encompass genetic and infectious disorders, along with comparative biological and pathological studies between animals and humans. The program equips graduates with the knowledge and skills needed for professional roles as independent researchers and teachers in academic, corporate, and public sector environments.
The preferred undergraduate GPA for admittance to the program is 3.25.
A bachelor's degree in a biological or basic science is required. Previous research experience is expected but not required.
