The Genetics, Cell Biology, and Development (GCD) program explores how genetic instructions shape cellular architecture and activity, guiding the complex processes that transform a single cell into a fully formed organism. GCD students examine cutting-edge research using model systems such as plants, fruit flies, zebrafish, and mice. Earning a Bachelor of Science in GCD equips graduates for molecular biology graduate programs, healthcare professional schools, teaching careers, or entry-level roles in biotech firms, government research institutions, and academic settings.
