The performance major is an advanced degree program designed for musicians seeking specialized training across six concentrations: Classical Guitar, Harp, Organ, Piano, Strings, Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, and Voice. Through weekly private lessons with faculty, students refine both solo and ensemble performance skills on their chosen instrument, enhanced through chamber music coaching and collaborative ensemble experiences. The curriculum complements applied study with comprehensive musicianship development, including music theory, aural skills, music history, conducting, and upper-level writing courses, taken alongside peers in the School of Music.
