English majors delve into literature, various forms of language expression, literary traditions and analysis, theoretical frameworks, language studies, and writing creativity. The department's curriculum covers diverse English-language works, from poetry and plays to novels, films, mass media, and digital content. Learners analyze how cultural, societal, political, and economic factors influence different texts. Through extensive writing practice, students develop strong communication skills in both speech and composition. They acquire practical understanding of the language they use daily. The English program promotes active learning with civic focus, integrating community engagement and service projects into literature courses to enhance critical reading and writing abilities within real-world contexts.
Student are required to have a high school graduation
English Language Proficiency Requirements: TOEFL iBT – 79; IELTS Academic – 6.5; Pearson Test of Academic English (PTE Academic) – 59; Cambridge Assessment English (CAE) C1 Advanced – 180.
Application Deadline for Fall: For freshmen international students the deadlines are November 1 (early action 1 deadline), December 1 (early action 2 deadline) and January 1 (regular deadline)
