The Cultural Studies and Comparative Literature (CSCL) major offers a versatile, interdisciplinary Liberal Arts bachelor's program. Our curriculum explores how worldwide cultural and creative expressions both mirror and reshape ways of understanding, emotional experiences, political engagement, and notions of personal and communal identity. The CSCL program spans diverse artistic mediums including literature, film, mainstream culture, music, and visual arts. We emphasize the influence of conceptual thinking, examining how philosophical and theoretical inquiries connect to real-world issues. With an intentionally global perspective, our studies traverse different eras and regions. Our goal is to cultivate analytical, reflective, and adaptable individuals equipped for diverse professions - from media and publishing to education, legal practice, healthcare, cultural institutions, and various creative industries. Alumni frequently emerge as pioneering thinkers, cultural trailblazers, and active contributors to societal movements that will define our shared tomorrow.
