The Manufacturing Systems Engineering program at the University of Michigan-Dearborn offers a 30-credit interdisciplinary master's degree. This curriculum prepares manufacturing professionals to develop, implement, and oversee advanced production systems for modern industry. The program blends engineering and management coursework, with evening classes and flexible scheduling allowing working professionals to balance career and personal commitments while pursuing their degree. While full-time students can finish in 12-16 months, part-time learners may spread their studies across 2-4 years based on individual circumstances. Similar to other MS programs in the College of Engineering and Computer Science, MSE courses are primarily scheduled for late afternoons and evenings to accommodate working students. Students can choose to complete the program fully on-campus, fully online, or through a hybrid approach combining both formats.
