The Health Infrastructures and Learning Systems (HILS) program seeks to enhance individual and community health by training researchers to create, apply, and assess transformative changes and ongoing enhancements in healthcare systems. HILS operates under the University of Michigan Medical School's Department of Learning Health Sciences, a pioneering academic department dedicated to advancing knowledge across various scales (including individual, organizational, regional, and national levels) to drive healthcare innovation. The program maintains strong collaborations with multiple schools including Information, Public Health, Dentistry, Pharmacy, and Nursing.

Qualification Requirements

Applicants complete a bachelor's degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association, or complete an international degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree from a college or university recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned.
All applicants are required to upload a scanned copy of their official transcript, for each bachelor's, master's, professional, or doctoral degree earned or in progress
Applicants who must demonstrate English language proficiency through test scores but do so through either TOEFL or IELTS. Minimum scores for admission are below.
