Applied electromagnetics (EM) is crucial across diverse fields including wireless technology, environmental science, biomedical applications, and transportation systems. Researchers and students explore various facets of applied EM, encompassing Microwave and Millimeter-Wave Circuitry, MEMS-based Circuits, Antenna Design, Wireless Wave Propagation Analysis, Scattering Phenomena, Computational Electromagnetic Methods, Microwave Remote Sensing (both active and passive), Plasma Electrodynamics, and Electromagnetic Metamaterials. These investigations are conducted within the renowned Radiation Laboratory (Radlab), whose legacy of excellence began post-World War II. Today, the Radlab stands as a premier facility for RF and electromagnetic research, combining advanced theoretical studies with practical experimentation, comprehensive laboratory resources, and robust academic programs. The laboratory boasts cutting-edge instrumentation such as microwave and millimeter-wave testing devices, anechoic testing chambers, near-field and far-field antenna measurement setups, EMC/EMI evaluation systems, microwave fabrication capabilities, polarimetric radar systems spanning 0.1-210 GHz frequencies, and extensive computational resources.
