For doctoral candidates pursuing advanced Jewish Studies research, the Frankel Center fosters collaborative ties with Ph.D.-granting departments. Students work with center faculty as both mentors and dissertation advisors, with potential access to financial assistance including tuition waivers and summer research grants. Those pursuing joint Ph.D. work with Judaic Studies may earn a Graduate Certificate, gaining interdisciplinary expertise in the field. This additional qualification, achievable without significant time investment, enhances graduates' competitiveness in an increasingly demanding academic job market.
