Tailored for graduate students pursuing the most advanced qualification in their discipline, the DMA offers an intensive three-year curriculum. This program concludes with two solo performances, a combined lecture-recital, a collaborative concert, and a doctoral thesis. The degree is granted based on proven proficiency rather than accumulated credits. Typically, students complete six semesters of full-time study after earning their master's degree. Candidates must achieve doctoral candidacy status by the start of their sixth term.
