Tailored for students pursuing the most advanced qualification in their discipline, the DMA offers an intensive three-year curriculum that concludes with public performances showcasing repertoire equal to three full concerts, serving as an alternative to a traditional dissertation. Typically, students complete this program in six semesters of full-time enrollment following their master's degree. Candidates must achieve doctoral candidacy by the start of their sixth term.
Applicants to the Doctor of Musical Arts in Conducting: Band & Wind Ensemble must have completed a master’s of music degree or equivalent to be eligible for admission.
