The Movement Science (MVS) program equips students for various healthcare careers, including medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, rehabilitation, and biomedical research. The program combines classroom instruction, lab research, and practical experiences to explore human movement's control, mechanics, and physiology. MVS highlights three key areas: Biomechanics uses mechanical principles to analyze human motion, providing excellent groundwork for advanced studies in biomechanics, ergonomics, prosthetics, or rehabilitation therapies. Exercise Physiology investigates metabolic, hormonal, and cardiovascular adaptations to physical activity, preparing graduates for healthcare roles or further study in related fields. Motor Control studies how movement is acquired and regulated throughout life, examining neural, behavioral, and cognitive processes - knowledge valuable for therapy professions and other health-related careers.
