The Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Environmental Engineering (BSE EnvE) program aims to cultivate future leaders who will address society's challenges related to limited global resources and human environmental effects. Graduates with a BSE EnvE degree are equipped for professional roles in engineering consulting, governmental bodies, humanitarian groups, and numerous other sectors. Environmental engineering is projected to experience one of the fastest growth rates across all engineering fields in the coming years. According to Environmental Engineering Student Hema Karunakaram, this discipline not only represents a rapidly advancing area but also achieves an ideal blend of technical education and real-world implementation. The curriculum enables students to concentrate on sustainable infrastructure systems—including water, sanitation, and air quality—that safeguard human health and natural assets for present and future populations. Environmental Engineering Student Diana Bach notes, "I always knew I wanted to pursue studies connected to environmental and sustainability issues, and to work in an area where I could make meaningful, measurable contributions to both ecological and human systems."
