The environmental engineering curriculum is designed to equip students with a solid foundation in physical, chemical, and biological sciences, combined with mathematical, planning, analytical, and design skills needed to tackle complex environmental challenges. Graduate and research programs in BEE and CEE concentrate on contaminant behavior in natural water systems; water purification and wastewater treatment methods; environmental and water resource system design and management; fluid dynamics in environmental contexts; water flow and distribution studies; and energy and material recovery processes. Additional specializations explore sustainable power production through solar, wind, hydroelectric, or geothermal sources to maintain our quality of life while minimizing greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutants.
