Actuarial Mathematics blends concepts from business, economics, mathematics, and statistics, primarily concentrating on risk assessment and mitigation. This program's coursework prepares students to earn Associate status with the Society of Actuaries (SOA). It includes three course pairs fulfilling the SOA's Validation by Educational Experience (VEE) criteria, while remaining classes help students pass key SOA examinations: Probability, Financial Mathematics, and Investment & Financial Markets. Financial institutions, healthcare providers, major corporations, and insurers regularly seek graduates for entry-level roles, usually requiring candidates to have passed one or two SOA-administered exams.
