Students can choose to complement their Sociology major with a submajor in Sociology & Social Work. The SSW submajor provides a focused curriculum exploring the connections between sociology and social work, covering topics like socioeconomic disparities, addressing human needs, and strengthening communities. Sociology equips you with analytical frameworks to tackle pressing societal challenges, from wealth gaps to migration issues, and from economic hardship to criminal justice systems. You'll develop critical thinking abilities, learn data analysis techniques, and build skills for constructing fact-based arguments.
