This undergraduate program in Integrated Science Studies equips you to guide diverse classrooms through science's core principles and fields. Combine your coursework with elementary teaching certification to qualify for teaching all K-5 subjects, or opt for science certification for grades 6-8. You'll experience a comprehensive curriculum blending theoretical knowledge, professional preparation, hands-on classroom practice in area schools, and modern technological training for today's educational environment. Upon graduation, you'll receive both your bachelor's degree and endorsement for Michigan's Elementary Standard Certificate. Following recent restructuring by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) into six grade levels, CEHHS has proposed programs covering Birth-Kindergarten (BK), Pre-K through Grade 3 (Pre-K3), and Grades 3-6 for MDE approval.
