The College of Education and Human Development at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is committed to outstanding teaching, research, and community engagement. It develops diverse leaders equipped to address educational challenges worldwide. COEHD provides a Bachelor of Science program with concentrations in Elementary Education, Kinesiology, and Sport Management. The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences in Childhood Development/Early Childhood Education caters to graduates from Child Development programs and childcare professionals seeking advanced credentials. Additionally, students can pursue military commissions through the Military Science program and earn a minor in this field. The BS degree requires completion of 120 credit hours, encompassing the University Core Curriculum, elementary education specialization, and professional training courses. Graduates can obtain certifications in various teaching specializations including EC-6 Core Subjects (with bilingual option), 4-8 Mathematics, Early Childhood STEM Focus, and EC-12 Special Education alongside their bachelor's degree.
