The goals of the English Bachelor's program include: (a) enhancing analytical abilities in interpretation, analysis, and composition; (b) providing avenues to explore connections between language, literary works, cultural contexts, and written expression; (c) enabling specialized focus within six distinct tracks: African American literary studies, linguistic applications, artistic composition, English language instruction, literary analysis, and business communication. Our English Department empowers students to craft personalized academic paths aligned with professional aspirations through six undergraduate specializations: African American Literary Studies, Artistic Composition, English Language Teaching, Linguistic Studies, Literary Analysis, and Business Communication. Alongside our 300 undergraduates, we support 100+ graduate scholars working toward Master's credentials, Creative Writing MFAs, specialized certifications in ESL and African-American literary studies, and doctoral degrees.
All students, both freshmen and transfer, must apply online for admission as an undergraduate student.
Applicants should upload a copy of their unofficial international transcript or marks sheet (high school/secondary or college/university) using our secure document upload system.
