Welcome to our Earth Sciences Department. Established in 2002 within the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Memphis' main campus, our department features 14 faculty members spanning Archaeology, Geography, and Geology. We foster personalized excellence through collaborative, interdisciplinary Earth Science education and research. Our environment encourages innovative academic pursuits that might face constraints in conventional departments. We maintain strong connections with campus institutions including CERI, CAESER, and Chucalissa Museum. Our Archaeology faculty actively collaborate with related programs throughout the university.
