From a business standpoint, transitioning from manufacturing to a technology-driven, knowledge-based economy demands fresh competencies from workforce members. During discussions with top executives at leading regional corporations, a consistent message emerged: engineers and scientists must cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset. With increasing competition and expenses, R&D initiatives must directly fuel business expansion and profitability. Consequently, organizations seek technical experts capable of sparking innovation and launching new ventures.
The Master's program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation comprises ten courses (30 credits total), structured as follows: 4 foundational courses (12 credits), 4 specialized electives (12 credits, with at least 6 credits in Engineering/Science), plus a 2-course (6 credit) hands-on practicum. Students will collaborate on a culminating team project during the practicum, presenting their work to an external evaluation panel of industry professionals.
