Electrical engineers create and refine electrical and electronic components and systems, including power grids, communication networks, control mechanisms, integrated circuits, and computing devices. Careers in electrical engineering span roles like consultant, designer, educator, entrepreneur, executive, public official, researcher, scientist, or military positions. They operate across diverse sectors such as acoustics, aerospace, automotive, communications, consumer electronics, energy resources, environmental technology, medical and biomedical fields, power generation, signal processing, space exploration, testing, and underwater systems. As the most extensive discipline in engineering, electrical engineering is continuously expanding and advancing, and it ranks among the top-paying engineering specialties. Graduates are equipped for roles in industry and government agencies, as well as for pursuing advanced studies at the graduate level.
This accelerated program allows exceptional Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering undergraduates to earn both BS and MS degrees with nine fewer total credits by taking three graduate courses as technical electives for their CPE or ELE bachelor's degree.
