A bachelor's degree program focused on mathematics for educators. UMass Boston's Mathematics BA offers comprehensive mathematical training with an emphasis on cultivating mathematical concepts and analytical thinking. This program is ideal for students pursuing careers in math instruction, mathematics education, creating educational technology, or developing teaching resources for mathematics.
The degree curriculum includes Core Requirements, Concentration Requirements, and a Capstone Requirement. (General BA degree prerequisites are also detailed under Concentration Requirements.) With the exception of the Concentration Requirement, these components are shared across all specializations and the general BA program.
