Our Applied Mathematics curriculum introduces students to mathematical concepts utilized in business and industrial applications, while also establishing a foundation for advanced studies.
High-tech mathematics incorporates modeling techniques, differential equations, and vector space analysis of convex sets. These preparatory courses lead to more specialized subjects like optimization and graduate-level research. Additionally, we provide a course exploring emerging fields like quantum nonlocality and quantum computing, which demand strong mathematical fundamentals. This specialized course is led by Dr. Peter Bierhorst, an eminent scholar in quantum information theory.
We recommend students complement their studies with relevant technical courses from other Science and Engineering Departments based on their academic interests.
