The MS and PhD programs in resource economics cultivate exceptional researchers and professionals across three focus areas: environmental and natural resource economics, empirical industrial organization, and experimental/behavioral economics. You'll study under both academic and industry specialists in your chosen field, gaining qualifications for marketing, energy, renewable sectors, policy organizations, and economic consulting roles through the master's track, while doctoral candidates prepare for research careers in academia, government, and private industry. The MSc program spans 17 months, with students typically enrolling in three courses per semester across three terms plus three research credits. An extra month is dedicated to finishing a field essay. Those opting for a thesis track will need an additional semester to complete their research. High-achieving master's candidates may qualify for financial support, including Teaching Assistantships during regular academic terms.
