Pursuing a master's degree in Higher Education allows you to dive deep into academic research while equipping yourself for roles in postsecondary institution leadership.
Our curriculum takes a broad approach, exploring seminal texts and cutting-edge studies in higher education alongside related disciplines like sociology, psychology, history, and economics. Building on this foundation, students conduct evaluations, assessments, and research initiatives focused on learner experiences and academic institutions that advance contemporary discourse. The program culminates with students creating an in-depth case study during the capstone Integrative Seminar, followed by an oral presentation and defense of their final project.

Experience working in the field of higher education (e.g., as an R.A.) is recommended.
Our master's students come from many different undergraduate majors (English, Communications, Government, Journalism, Political Science, Health Science, Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, History, Education, Media Studies).
Letters of Recommendation A minimum of two letters of recommendation. At least one should be from someone who can speak about your academic background.
Official transcript(s) An official transcript from all colleges/universities attended, undergraduate and graduate, where 6 or more credits were taken.
