The Animal Biotechnology & Biomedical Sciences (ABBS) program delivers advanced, thorough graduate-level education through the Department of Veterinary & Animal Sciences. Both MS and PhD candidates must meet the standard Graduate School requirements for their degrees in Animal Biotechnology & Biomedical Sciences.

The ABBS graduate program creates research experiences that cultivate innovation, technical proficiency, independent thinking, and specialized knowledge in molecular and cellular biology. Faculty research spans immunology, infectious diseases, developmental biology, reproductive biology, and toxicology. Studies concentrate on matters with direct implications for human health and agricultural animals. Qualification Requirements

Applicants must include a completed online application form and two letters of recommendation. The Graduate Record Examination (GRE) is optional. International students who are not from an English-speaking country (i.e., one whose national language is English) must also take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and score at least 550 (paper-based test) or 80 (computer-based test). This includes students from non-English speaking countries even though their degrees may have been awarded in English.
