The HCIM program teaches students to create, assess, and deploy innovative information technologies that are accessible, functional, and engaging for diverse populations. Participants gain essential knowledge about the technology design cycle, development tools, assessment methods, user applications, and technology's societal effects on individuals and communities. This program equips graduates to emerge as human-computer interaction (HCI) pioneers in corporate and public sectors, or to excel in specialized HCI doctoral studies. The 30-credit curriculum, usually finished in two years by full-time learners, provides adaptable options for working professionals. Foundational courses establish core HCI principles and approaches, while electives delve into specialized domains. A mandatory internship offers valuable practical exposure in professional or research settings, and students can showcase their expertise through either an independent thesis or a collaborative capstone project with real-world clients, tailoring their final demonstration to align with career aspirations.
