The MPP program includes two key elements: a 27-credit core curriculum covering governance, quantitative methods, and policy implementation, along with elective courses for specialized study. Students can focus on one or two concentrations or explore broader policy topics. Available specializations range from environmental and energy policy to international development, security, leadership, nonprofit management, public finance, social policy, health, education, and a customizable option. Graduation requires completing 48 credits. Develop expertise in policy-making and governance while building analytical abilities and hands-on experience to address critical societal challenges.
The Health Policy concentration introduces students to the historical context and organizational structures of healthcare policy, enhances their quantitative analysis and data evaluation capabilities, and explores ethical dilemmas stemming from disparities. Designed for both early-career and experienced professionals, this track features core courses supplemented by a diverse selection of relevant classes across campus departments. Students benefit from instruction by distinguished faculty members recognized for their expertise in various health policy domains.
