The MPH program at the Maryland Institute for Applied Environmental Health, part of the School of Public Health, equips graduates for careers as public health practitioners, researchers, administrators, and consultants. The Environmental Health Sciences concentration aims to cultivate skilled professionals who grasp the scientific principles, theories, and practical applications of public and environmental health. These experts can then utilize this knowledge to identify, address, and prevent environmental health issues. Special emphasis is placed on health impacts within vulnerable or underserved communities, particularly those facing environmental injustices related to socioeconomic status or racial disparities.
Those applicants who have earned or will earn a bachelor's degree at a regionally accredited college or university in the United States (or the equivalent of a baccalaureate degree from a nationally recognized institution in another country) are eligible to be considered for admission to the Graduate School at the University of Maryland
