The Curriculum and Instruction (EDCI) graduate program, part of the Department of Teaching and Learning, Policy and Leadership, provides Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree options. Our department features diverse programs tailored to support students' academic and career objectives, whether in educational research, teaching, supervision, curriculum leadership, teacher preparation, or consulting across all educational levels from elementary through higher education. Certain M.Ed. specializations prepare students for teacher certification, including pathways for those with non-education bachelor's degrees seeking teaching credentials. Additional M.Ed. tracks serve current educators and professionals, while our research-focused Master of Arts (M.A.) in Teaching & Learning, Policy & Leadership (TLPL) caters to education researchers.

This pathway culminates in both a Master's of Education (M.Ed.) and qualification for Maryland State PreK-12 World Languages Certification, enabling graduates to teach Chinese, French, German, Italian, Latin, Russian, or Spanish in elementary or secondary schools.
