The Department of French and Italian offers Master of Arts (FRIT) and Doctor of Philosophy (FRMS) programs focused on French language, literature, and cultural studies. Our graduate faculty's research covers historical periods ranging from the Renaissance to contemporary times. The French graduate program promotes in-depth exploration of French and Francophone literature, film, cultural studies, and social analysis.
