The University of Maryland's Clinical Psychology program has held APA accreditation since 1963. This program focuses on blending research with clinical application, adhering to the Clinical Scientist training approach. As part of this educational framework, it's affiliated with the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science. Students graduate as clinical psychologists proficient in scientific methodology and capable of creating, applying, and sharing evidence-based treatments for psychological disorders. We're excited to share that our Clinical Psychology Doctoral Program has additionally earned accreditation from PCSAS, an organization dedicated to thorough, evidence-based evaluation of Ph.D. programs following the clinical science model - an approach that enhances both the caliber and number of clinical scientists advancing public health while strengthening mental healthcare's scientific foundation.
